On June 13, 2025, the final event of the KASTRACK project – Traceability of chestnut cultivars using KASP technology for the detection of genetic fingerprints will be held at the Conference Hall of the Convent of Santa Maria degli Angeli in Montoro (AV).
The morning will open with a session dedicated to the results of the dss-CAST project, and then continue with the presentation of the results achieved by KASTRACK, including small daily goals and important advances for the chestnut supply chain.
The work will be introduced by Prof. Santiago Pereira Lorenzo, from the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, an expert in European chestnut genetics, who will share his experience and his vision on the topic.
The event is sponsored by the Order of Agronomists and Forestry Doctors and is part of the ODAF Avellino training plan. Therefore, Agronomists and Forestry Doctors will be recognized with Training Credits as provided for by the current Regulation for continuous professional training.
