The research group is engaged in the study of biochemical, energetic and epigenetic mechanisms of model systems, in response to secondary metabolites, including plant or anthropogenic pollutants, through the use of cutting-edge technologies. The possibility of observing rapid cellular metabolic changes in response to drugs, nutrients, such as hormones, chemical agents, pollutants, could promote a better understanding of cellular phenotypes and the identification of diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers as an organism adaptive response to stress conditions, including environmental stress.
