On 30 March 2026, from 09:30 to 13:00, the UNI Headquarters in Milan will host an event dedicated to Nature-based Solutions (NbS).
The aim of the day is to present the new EN 18140 standard, developed within CEN TC 465/WG01 with the support of UNI and coordinated by CNR IRET, which provides a common reference framework for Nature-based Solutions.
The meeting is organised by UNI (the Italian National Standards Body, responsible for developing and publishing voluntary technical standards that define shared requirements, methods and best practices for companies, professionals and public administrations) in collaboration with NbS Italy Hub and ICESP, and is intended to build a bridge between technical standardisation, applied research, industry and public authorities.
Special attention will be given to the concrete experiences of the NbS Italy Hub, which will present best practices and projects implemented across the country. The programme will feature contributions from Hub partner organisations, including CNR IRET, CMCC Foundation, University of Turin and the Metropolitan City of Milan, with dedicated sessions on technical standardisation, the role of insurance and investments, and practical territorial applications.
The event will be held in person, is free of charge upon registration and subject to availability. It is sponsored by Naturance (CMCC Foundation) and held under the patronage of CONAF, CNGeGL and CNAPPC.
